We understand that every human being is an individual who has to personally connect with the living God. It is only as we personally experience the love, grace, and mercy of God that we become interested in learning God’s great purposes for life.
God’s reality and purpose for life come into focus as we personally experience the presence and power of God. This focus is not the result of certain concepts or rules we learn, but through a personal discovery of a Person. Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life.” The truth, the way, and the life are personified in the Person of Jesus and they – the truth, the way, and the life become a reality as we grow in our connection with Him.
As we grow in this relationship, we discover other people who are interested in learning for themselves the full meaning of LIFE. As we learn to connect with other people in an attitude of common interest, community begins to emerge and develop. In this community, a climate develops that fosters and nurtures care and support for one another and encourages people in their pursuit of God.
Living Word Community Church exists for these purposes: to provide the foundation for this discovery and experience, to provide an opportunity that allows individuals to personally cultivate their relationship with the living God, and to encounter community. As relationships are built in an atmosphere that nurtures care and support, people will taste and see that the Lord is good!
